The Fall Menu

9/28/2019

We're on the other side of the equinox; the days are shorter than the nights. Riding home last night from the kitchen I wished, for the first time in months, that I were wearing gloves. The gingerbread is back on the Saturday menu in all its black and sticky glory, made with buckwheat, apples, dark beer, molasses, and plenty of ginger. And for the Jewish New Year, braided challah rounds.

TODAY AT MARKET

Vollkornbrot
Seedy Buckwheat
Challah Round

Malted Chocolate Chip Cookie
