Look at this! After a January so warm the crocuses are up, the kale is bolting in the garden, and across the driveway, the neighbors’ quince is flowering pink*, it’s snowing in February. Tuesday, perhaps, when I’m biking to the bakery through the predawn dark on icy roads, pursued by marauding cars, I’ll wish for rain, but today being Sunday, I’m giddy as a kid on a snow day. What a perfect day to drink tea and read my (self-assigned) homework. Later, if I’m lucky, there will be enough snow to go skiing! Happy snow day. Stay warm!
